you need to speak to anglian and ask them to have an inspector also visit to determine if oyu have a leak.
also is your bill estimated as it may have not been read whilst you had the leak and they have recalculated your next years consumption based on what the leak was doing.can you prove you had a repair done on the service pipe if so.. also speak to the water company and ask them about there leakage rebate as you have proved diligent about repairing the leak so they should ofset some of the billneed to have a lightbulb moment0 -
There is 1000 ltrs per cubic meter and most people would use more then 1m3 in 53 days so if that is correct there would be no evidence of a leak (and in fact would seem very low) What you need to do is take 2 reads a week apart and work out your average daily consumption
That is time between reads (say 7 days) and usage..so say 7 m3 used in 7 days would be 1.0 per day
As far as the leak is concerned, if it is internal then it is your responsibility and you will have to pay the water bill( unless your area does a one time adjustment offer)
If the leak is external and the water companies responsibility then they will bill you for it but send out a allowance form and take it from there.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will.

thankyou for your help. i will see what the plumber has to say then ask for a inspector.i will take the readings 7 days apart too. it was estimated thats why i had to give them a reading but their saying my payments are going up to £64 i have proof of getting the other leaks fixed in may but was told back then that i wouldnt be able to claim,then yesterday the lady from anglian water said i may have been misinformed so waiting for the claim form to come,just seems alot for a family ov 4 have not had baths every night for past year because worried its was going to go up and it has and my kids share a bath,we shouldnt have to live like this,but if the meter is not moving then how can my bills be so high you dont think the neighbours are plugged on to my water do you but some good info thanks for that.0
