problems with Barclays ISA

Hi all,
I had an ISA account with Barclay’s and I had arranged a transfer on the Lloyds side to take the money from Barclay’s over to my existing Lloyds’ ISA account. I then discovered that Lloyds had changed it’s interest rates so I told Lloyds to stop the transfer but they had already sent off the transfer form to Barclay. At the same time I asked FD to transfer all my ISA fund from Lloyds.
A day later I popped into a Barclay’s branch and told them to stop any money going out to Lloyds as I will get FD to send them a transfer form instead, so I want all my Barclay’s money in FD. The clap then put some notes on the system as I could not get hold of Barclay’s ISA department myself.
I then discover 3 weeks later, my Barclays had left my account, and on their note system it had said money transferred out (not stating a bank name), then a week later, another note saying we have cancelled the cheque as we had read the note re: customer would no longer want to transfer their money to Lloyds.
Now the current situation is my money is nowhere, not in Lloyds account as Lloyds would have closed my account when all the ISA funds went over the First Direct. At the same time, the barclay’s money was not part of the whole Lloyds transfer to First direct. The barclay’s money is also not back into my Barclay’s account or First direct.
Barclays are even saying they haven’t received any request from First direct despite me asking first direct three times to re-send the transfer form. I have raised an issue with them and they are suggesting they will give me an answer within a month’s time. Seeing as there is no ISA account in Barclays, I was thinking it’s impossible for First direct get the money off Barclay unless they re-open my ISA account and find my money. Otherwise they would argue there is no such account/sort code.
In total it has almost been two months since I had asked First direct to transfer the funds from Barclays, no doubt I will lose interest, they’ve already failed their 30 days transfer timeline, also they claim their ISA department is very busy, surely it’s more busy around March/April than this time of the year?
Can anyone else advise me what else I can do? At the moment I’m just waiting until the 16th Dec, that’s when they said the problem will be resolved.
