It's a tad surprising that many with a bearish stance are now looking.
Don't they read their own posts? If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

I am a bear... but as my deposit grew and grew with hard graft and saving... house prices fell 18% or so then rose 10% up again..... but in that time my deposit grew 200%
.
So now while houses are a little less than when i started... my deposit is significant enough to 'buy' and look.. Probably same for others..... i have checked out a property already.. altho am a novice at what the process is :P.... and am shocked at the big differences in rates (halifax at 6 % and A+L at 4% for example).0 -
If you have anything less than a 25% deposit the rates are terrible as well.0

When you one day sell property, please remember your 2007 exaperation with all those greedy vendors.
Make sure you are good to your word and sell for rock bottom to a FTB0 -

Great news to see the bears scrambling to get back into the market.
So much for the great Double Dip theory, so often peddled on here0 -
I have a 33% deposit which annoyingly doesn't get me to the 60/40 rates :P.0

There are a range of tracker products coming on stream now with competitive rates for those with lower deposits.
Have a look at Nationwide's website, or at Northern Bank.
More low deposit products are coming on to the market all the time, so things should start getting easier.0
