Found this
http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/mid/big_red_house/index.jsp

just click on the link near the bottom of the page that says 'Buy right here, right now'

Its basically deals for students. Now look for instance at the nokia 1101. Yes a very basic phone but for £22.49 with a £20 top up voucher to use on any virgin mobile sim and a sim connection pack with £5 credit you would actually make £2.51.

I ordered 1 at about 7pm wednesday and it arrived first thing thursday morning by courier + free p&p.

You also get an extra sim card.

You are required to put a student id number but I just made one up with no probs.

What do you all think?

  • I got a new Nokia 1101 a couple of weeks ago from Virgin, at the same price using http://www.virginmobile.com/lifestylerewards (no student id needed). I'd also spent £100 on top-ups, so I got a further £10 off by logging in first. £12.49 for the phone, £20 voucher, sim with £5 and another sim!

Got one of these last month, under the '/lifestylerewards' section (replace '/mobile').
    nice wee backup phone.
I tried all the nokia unlock codes, but still on Virgin.
If anything, it's a free second battery for my other Nokias.

I got one of these last weekend and posted the IMEI number, model and network to the Nokia unlocking sticky at the top of this forum. Within 30 mins 'drachir' had kindly posted the unlocking code for me.

The phone now has a Tesco Mobile SIM card in it.

Suggest you post the details to the unlocking thread but remember you only get a limited number of attempts at putting the wrong code in.
