    To be fair a machine like the one in a pub probably wouldn’t have sucked it back in, so its very hard to trace the owner and come on, lets be honest, if you handed it in it would have gone straight into the managers pocket.
    With a wall cash machine I think it’s a bit different. It will suck the money back in and recredit the account if not taken. So if someone takes this money it’s the same as seeing a wallet fall out of someone’s pocket not telling them and keeping it.

    Have you reported it to the local police? If I found £50 in an ATM I'd hand it in - you never know maybe someone did?

    Sorry to hear about that, I would check also as I would have handed it in.

    Last Xmas I lost a bag full of presents (worth over £200) and my purse with a large amount of cash and all my cards in, noone handed it in and left me extremely angry.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:
