there must be different opening days depending on the store & location

my daughter's doing her usual seasonal part-time work for them & she's working Boxing Day

first Boxing Day she worked she was shocked  by people running, pushing, shoving & clawing to get at the bargains :o

yes last year, there were people 'casually' standing infront of me in the queue despite me been there ages and saying 'don't worry i've only come for two £100 boxes, when i've got those i'll go' cheeky !!!!!!!!!!!
  • I called my LUSH store today to ask what hours they are open on Christmas eve. The girl said to me that they are open on boxing day from 12pm and they are doing the big promotion:T (she did not tell me exactly what it was, but presume it is the same as last year). She told me to come early thou as she said last year people were there from 9am last year! So I am going to get myself there early!
  • According to the forums any shop outside of a station or shopping mall is opening boxing day and thats when the sale starts.

Someone has also checked with their local store today and been told that the offer is actually spend £20 and get £20 of free stuff not the usual get a hat box offer.

Again just relaying information thanks to the lovely people on the lush forum

I know no one knows for sure but I seriously hope it is like this- the hat box thing seems so unfair when its not limited and greedy people go in and buy out the store of their entire hat box range then wade out leaving thos that have queued for hours to look on.

sorry to disapoint everyone but I went in today and they said the offer would not be very good this year (their words) spend £20 and get a lucky dip (so you cant even choose!). They said they might still run last years grab bag offer but not till much later (think January left overs) My guess is (from looking at what stock they have) there will be buckets of snow fairy and lots of secret santa gifts.
  • I hope its not a lucky dip. They did something like that last year before xmas where people had to guess what characters the sales assistants dressed up as, spend 15 or 20 pounds & get a lucky dip of soap or something.

Getting a free hatbox is much better. I think it should be limited to say 2 per person. But then again those people who were walking out with lots of hatboxes had got there earlier & queued longer.

Im hoping its not on boxing day as theres pretty much no public transport then (no trains, limited tube & limited bus).

Tell you what though, bet the first thing she says to you (after announcing how shattered she feels:o) is how fast the time flew!
you're right on both counts :D ... but she loves working there

they're not saying much (other than that there'll be something special) about what's happening on Boxing Day, I've been trying to 'subtly' find out, but no joy
  • On the site it says not spend £20 and what's in the box? Anyone any ideas????
