you'll find most shampoos have an ingredient in which "coats" the hair to leave it smooth/shiny - a type of plastic really. Lush shampoo bars don't contain this, and at first your hair might seem dry but it's worth persisting
All their haircare was developed by a trichologist. A shampoo bar should last at least 80 washes, the trick is to swirl it around your head 2-3 times, then massage in until it lathers

Your talking about silicons (or any 'cones really!) not all products have these in, I think TIGI, Aveda and Bumble and Bumble all don't have either sulfates or silicons and there are many more brands, unfortunetly they do tend to be the expensive brands!

I'm sorry, I'm with the others on this- I tried the Lush bars and just didn't like them at all! My hair looked and felt so dry afterwards and I just couldn't carry on using them. I went back to my original products and it was such a relief!

I'd say get her to bring her own shampoo or save pocket money for her own- or give her a certain amount for x weeks and say when its gone, you'll need to replace it yourself as I think your using too much shampoo.
Another idea is ti take her to a salon- get the hairdressers to show her how much product they use (they don't use much!) and then she can see from the experts that a 10p peice can really be enough after all and also reduce product build-up.

i use loads of lush products including the shampoo bar but i think it would help if you went into the shop to talk to them to see if they could recomend one maybe ask for a sample of 1 first , but be aware lush products is very addictive you probally wont just stay at the shampoo bars lol
