Agree now, this has got to be a debt collecting agency.
I remember a few Christmases ago,one Police force sent letters to people saying they had won a competion, and they had to go to a certain place to collect the prize. When they turned up they were arrested (as they were wanted criminals who the Police hadn't yet managed to locate)!! it relies on greed.

Put the postcode into royal mail address finder it quotes Advanced Collection Systems Ltd,and a rough map of the postal address. It appears to be either Darkes Lane,Potters Bar,or "Service Road" Potters Bar.

Resurrecting a very old thread here I know but my parents have received a letter from this so called company. This thread came up from a Google search as there's not much info available on the net. Same telephone number etc. I was wondering whether the OP ever got to the bottom of it?
Oooo working my head here to remember what happened, i'm afraid i can't be sure but i ended up binning the letter. never heard anything from them.
i notice people are saying this is to do with debt, however iv'e never owed money or borrowed other than student loan.

    the mystery continues
  • I worked for them until someone showed up at my door accusing me of charging their card illegally. Don't do it!
  • Is this the person that recruited you Helen Harper,

For anyone that's not familiar with this company, let me enlighten you. This person Helen Harper actually posted a want ad for at home workers on Career Builder.com I contacted her to request more information and here is the letter she sent me.

These packages she speaks of are ordered with stolen credit cards that somehow this company has gotten their hands on . As a matter of fact when you get the pakg it has your address on it but the name on it is not yours the name on the order actually belongs to the person whose credit information they are using to purchase the stuff with . When the pkg arrives you actually sign your name on the reciept that UPS has . Then you email this scumbag and they send you a prepaid shipping label and have you place it on the pkg and reship it to another country. In my case it was Russia . I have reported them to The Internet Scam unit, The BBB and to The FTC I had to . My name is on those labels . Thank God I have every email that they sent me and all the invoices which I had to turn over to the local a.uthorities
  • Do not open anything you get from this company most of it if not all of it is stolen merchandise.
