Went to HUGE Morrisons today early and they said they hadnt had the trifles delivered so had to charge full price for everything else in the offer

I asked for a diff trifle like the choccy one and they said no despite having mountains of the meat and veg.

Went to different one later and they'd sold out yesterday

Whats the point of a 3 day offer if you cant cover it anyway.

    xxp00

The point is to get people in who will then do other shopping while they are there. There will not be many people who go just for the offer.

I don't think so, it finished yesterday.

I was one of the lucky ones at or local shop in Bredbury but I know my Dad went around lunchtime and it had sold out.

The thing that amazes me about Morrisons is their lack of promoting this kind of thing. The only way I knew about this was from this post although when I got to the shop yesterday, there was a poster in the foyer bit.

As it happens, I was shopping there anyway (to get my last £25 voucher recepit), but if I had gone to Sainsburys as normal, they wouldn't have had the benefit of getting my other shopping. If they're trying to bring in extra customers, a little advertising is required!

It's the same with the £25 voucher offer - nothing on the TV at all and for ages, the website either. Admittedly there were billboard posters up, but who actually bothers to read them properly?

If it was any of the other supermarkets doing these offers, there would be barely time for the programmes on ITV because there would be so many adverts!

...The M&S is advertised as a meal for two...

Oh, yes, I'd overlooked that. However, having said that, the chicken I got from M&S was priced at £7.50 and would have fed more than four people well. But you're correct about the puddings and side orders only feeding two-ish.

It was advertised on Tv in prime time, though I only saw the ad once.
They usually put leaflets through the door and advertise in the tabloids though I hadn't seen either of those this week?

Maybe we have all got them wrong and they are just trying to give something back to their loyal customers. :j

I did go back and get another deal on friday.

Pork was very nice for lunch. Blanched the sprouts we where not using (can't stand them)and popped in the freezer.

My local still had loads left on friday and where stocking up when I was there. As I struggled trying to pull out a carton of veg off the chiller shelf the very nice young man said here have one of these. How sweet.

The one thing that did concern me was that the cooking instructions seemed to be for another meat and not pork. As it gave timings for Medium and well done

I am not a brilliant cook but even I know that pork and chicken and turkey all have to be cooked well and no pink. Beef and lamb are different matter.
