  • Talk to UPS, we didnt think they would give us good rates but we have negotiated a £4.50 upto 10kg rate, and they came along and installed a nice label printer, shipping software for free!

Plus, you CANNOT fault UPS's delivery network.
  • We run an ebay shop and were recommended to use Dispatch bay, oh god What a mistake, yes they are all friendly at first but despite me putting all the correct details in rubbish parcelforce failed to pick up the parcel, we apologised to the customer and got in touch with DB after the weekend , we were ASSURED by four seperate people on seperate calls our parcel would be picked up on the monday but still Parcelforce couldnt manage to do it.
In the end we will have to send it normal mail leaving us to once again apologise to the customer.
Trust us ! Do not use dispatch bay, they are cheaper for a reason and that is they don't do what they say they will do. Avoid and try someone else.
  • I have just had a bad experience with Dispatch Bay: I ordered some goods on line and the company used Despatch Bay to deal with their delivery. I was given a tracking number so I could check when delivery would take place. I also received an email from Despatch Bay at each stage of the process. However, the emails are automated and I received one on Saturday morning letting me know the goods would arrive "today". I waited in all day but no delivery was made.
When I asked why the delivery wasn't made I was told that they only deliver Monday to Friday. I explained that they told me the goods were out for delivery on Saturday but all they could say was "it's an automated email".
I suggested they reword their automated emails to take saturdays into account but they said they didn't need to as they only get a small number of complaints about the issue.
I think they are ARROGANT and typical of many "can't be bothered" British service industry companies today.
My advice is don't use them!

I registered ages ago but never activated the my account. On March 1st I got an email from DB claiming it would cost from £2.48 for a signed for packet of <1kg. I activated and paid £50+VAT by credit card. On the 5th I thought I'd give them my 50 quids worth. Well the £2.48 is over £4 and there is a collection charge. Non of this is mentioned when signing up. Also their system would not accept a valid delivery address (A police authority clothing store) which Interlink have managed to find on over 40 ocassions. As I hadn't used them I asked to cancel and get my funds refunded but they refuse point blank. I have opened a dispute now with my card provider. I would say avoid this courier at all costs. Interlink are reliable and inexpensive in my experience and would recommend them without hesitation.

This whole thread looks quite odd - lots of one-(or few-)posters both for and against.
  • I initially went with these guys because they told me I could drop my parcels off at any local Post Office, saves me waiting for someone to collect.
I dropped three parcels off and guess what four days later they still hadn't arrived. I emailed Despatch Bay, as they never seem to answer any phone calls!! to be informed that it would appear that I can only drop parcels off at certain local post offices. OK, i thought they must be still at my local one then?? Oh no, Royal Mail had taken them but because they had Parcel Force labels on them, they went on a tour of the UK!!.
One parcel arrived at it's destination after 6 days, the second took a week and the third arrived 12 days after being sent, what's more it was only going to an address about 12 miles from where I lived. It had been located in Coventry, Luton and Cambridge but was only going to Trafford Park near Manchester.
After eventually speaking to someone, they agreed to refund half of the cost into my account, this took around 2 months and 4 further phone calls and numerous emails to happen.
It doesn't end there, slightly reluctant to continue using this company, but still having over £35 pounds credit I decided around a month ago to use them again, tried to log in with no joy, usual rubbish, incorrect password, checked my welcome email from them, yes I was putting in the correct password etc. so hit the password reminder button so they could email me a new password, 9 times to date and still no response.
Use this company at your own peril!!!!!!!!!!
  • DespatchBay state they use Parcel Force on their website, yet the courier they send is actually Yodel.

Bit of a con paying for Parcel Force but getting cheaper Yodel. Not like PF are much better mind.
  • Never had that problem, if I order Parcelforce I get Parcelforce.
  • hello

i have just done a 'sample' collection request - 10kg England to England. It costs £11.45 plus vat.

That is way more then using interparcel for a TNT collection. If I wanted to use despatch bay, how would I get the super duper rates everyone seems to be referring to here?
