If you have had your xbox less than 3 years then you can have it repaired free of charge for RROD. You just need to register it on xbox website and put in a repair request. They will send a courier to pick it up and return it once repaired. This happened to my DS's last year it took about 2 weeks as it was sent to Germany and it was replaced with a newer one. All you need to do is send the xbox don't send any leads or hard drive.

Will check for airwick coupon later today to see what it is worth and for expiry date if no-one has found out yet.
I would appreciate knowing what this abbreviation means - thanks

Do you mean RROD = 'red ring of death' I think (re xbox total failure).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Official confirmation of the coupon policy from a member of the head office team. Although I am sure there will be some discretion involves in terms of the management, Tesco policy is this:
(and see if any staff really want to argue with head office)

    "OUR COUPON POLICY

We'll happily accept your coupons if you've bought the product.

This includes Tesco and supplier coupons.

Unfortunately if you haven't bought the product we can't accept the coupon.

We will continue to accept Competitor Conditional Spend Coupons as long as the minimum spend has been met, as well as Healthy Start and Luncheon Vouchers.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us. I realise you may be a little disappointed with this response but I do hope that despite this we may continue to look forward to being of service to you.

    Yours sincerely

    XXXXXXXXX
    Customer Service Executive"

*sorry - removed name in case people decide to pick on her via calls and emails - sure she is busy enough reply to my multiple emails :)
I was sent £3 worth of £1 coupons for a product that i complained about and asked if i could use all three £1 against a product costing £4 but was told no I have to buy three products to use 3 coupons:eek:

If your Xbox has RROD( Red Ring of Death, when 2/3/or 4 of the red quadrant lights are lit) you can get it repaired for free if it is under 3 years old as it appears to be striking almost every Xbox....but if your Xbox is over 3 years old you can fix it by using the 'towel' method...which is what I did and it really has fixed it and it only takes 10 mintues to do...

never complain about growing old,far too many people have been denied that privilege.

  • s.a tried to trout me this evening in t's. When i handed my bunch of coupons he looked at me and said "you know very well I cant accept them because you haven't bought the products". I looked straight bk at him and said "if you bother reading the coupons you will see I have bought the products".....he then looked quite embarassed and grudgingly put them through. You can only get that kinda service in t's hey - where they employ staff who cant be bothered to read the coupons but love shooting their motor mouths off!!!
