I hate to say it but my local Sainsbury's think they are Tesco! Last time I went in I wanted to buy 12 Hartley's jellies as they were 2 for 80p, 10 Candia milk, 10 milka's, 4 Dove spray and 4 Dove roll-ons along with other bits and pieces. I got to the till and they called the supervisor over to ask if it was okay to take all my coupons as the SA was sure she could only take one coupon of each product. Supervisor said it is only 1 coupon per product so I couldn't use all my coupons to which I said please call the manager as I had this same problem a few days earlier and ended up leaving the store without my groceries and called the manager the next day to complain and he said I could use more than 1 coupon if I actually bought the product. I also told him that I use several coupons at a time and he said that would be fine. His attitude had changed dramaticly since that phone conversation and he said he didn't realise I wanted to buy more than 2 or 3 items of the same product. He then told me that I could only have 6 of each product that particual day but in future I was only allowed to buy 1 of each product as if I buy anymore than 1 item per product then that is considered "bulk" buying and they are a grocery store not a cash and carry! He also kept insinuating that I had lied to him on the phone! I haven't been back there since and don't plan on going back either. They lost my petrol custom as well as I used to get my petrol from them as well. It is a waste of time for that store to have deals like the 2 for and BOGOF as they aren't any good if you are only allowed to buy 1 item per product!
I can't understand that sort of attitude as you would think the store would be grateful for your custom and want to boost it's profits (still can't get the confused sign as it's missing on my logos- how are you all doing it?) whenever anything is on offer or bogof I always buy a dozen or so if it's something I use a lot
I think some people just like to nasty/miserable with other people for the sake of it but it is unpleasnat when it happen to you personally as we all know:mad:I am not a beige person:D0 -
If you are replying to my Sainsbury's and Waitrose experiences, I have every intention of writing to both company's! When the I get told something like this in a store again, and I'm certain I will (I don't seem to live in a very bright area of the country!), I think I will just ask the person if it hurt when they were hit with the stupid stick!!!;)I am not a beige person:D0

We’re throwing a bit of a bash on Thursday 18th February, in Leicester Square in London, so come along and join in the fun! There’ll be live comedy, moosic from Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, free scoops* of Ben & Jerry’s, a handful of free limited edition t-shirts and even free tub vouchers for the earlybirds among you. What’s more, Ben and Jerry will be there in person, with a load of cool stuff that they want you to trade for! But fear not, you won’t have to trade the clothes off your back - they just want you to promise to DO something for any item you fancy. So, gather a herd and get down there for 10.30am-12.30pm, ready to trade. In the meantime get thinking and take a look here for inspiration
*Free scoops will be served from 10.30am-12.30pm from the Empire Scoop Shop.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
