I made a complaint last week to cs because tesco refused to take my £5 asda voucher against a £50 shop and wasted a lot of my time. Result: Got £10 moneycard in post this morning after chasing it up yesterday. The guy at cs was apologetic, and said he would sort it out (but how many times have they said that....?). Was bit annoyed coz after waiting for 1 and half weeks I had to chase the moneycard. R tesco's just being really awkward? Anyway, cant coomplain too much as have a £10 free to spend tonight!!! yipee!!!!!!0

I've got a good Waitrose story too! I went into my local Waitrose, which before the coupon policy change you could only use 5 coupons and they would only let you use 50% of the total for coupons, so now the policy changed I bought 6 items that I had coupons for (2 of which were for their free £4.99 Cottage pie). When I gave the girl the coupons she said she coupon only take 5 and I said but I bought all the items I have coupons for so she asked someone and he said as far as he knew it was alright to take all the coupons since I bought the products. She wasn't happy with that so she called for the supervisor over. The supervisor says it is still only 5 coupons and in any case I could not use 5 as my shopping would come to way less than 50% if I used all 5 coupons. I said I can't help that as 2 of my coupons are for the product to be free. She didn't care and stuck to her guns that I could not use all 6 coupons even though I was buying the items. So I said find you keep all but the 2 Cottage pies so I can use the coupons before they expire to which she said I could do that. The bit I don't understand is that she said fine to that which meant I got my shopping for free and paid nothing but according to the garbage the supervisor was saying about the 50% rule I still should have given them £4.99 in cash as well to satisfy their 50% rule! I was so annoyed with the idiocy of the 50% of shopping rule yet it was okay for me to use my free coupons and pay nothing that I complained to the duty manager. He couldn't do anything though as he was just filling in as he works in the Newport store so I told him he was in a position to let the person who can do something about know how stupid that rule is now the policy has changed! He did agree that it doesn't make any sense and it would have been better for the store to have made the sales on the other items I wanted to buy plus give them some money rather than let me walk out with only 2 items and not giving them any money! Sure makes you wonder who dreams up this sh*t!Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0

Went there specially to use Kerry Low Low coupons before Sainsburys offer finishes and I'd forgotten to put the coupons in my bag. Lovely young man said I could bring them in tomorrow for a refund! Can't imagine that happening in many places. :T
I must be lucky with my Sainsburys - I got the refund for my coupons the next day, no hassle and even a smile!0 -

If you have any problem with regards to coupon use all you need do is call up customer services or email them. When they confirm you are right ask them to put it into writing, tell them how bad u feel and insulted as coupons are same as cash. If it does not go in ask for the manager, if u really annoyed ask for the manager first. Give them a load of grief, be pleasant but firm, ask them if they would like to be treated as such and advise how much you and all your family spend there.
In my experience you nearly always come out on top, they offer you some compensation for their ignorance and lack of abilty to be sensible and polite. You are the customer, they want your custom...............

Rant
Had my Tesco online delivery Tuesday which included the Belgian Flaked Truffles boxes at 1p (ordered 10) got charged £1 each on delivery so £10. Phoned and got a £9.90 refund. Then today the local store manager lady phoned me and more or less called me a liar "we don't sell stuff that's 1p online, they are £1, we have looked and can't see them for a penny, you are not getting refund blah blah blah" really nasty attitude. I quickly logged on and told her they are still there at 1p and how to find them, to which she replied she didn't have access to the internet where she was. I suggested she "went away" and checked her facts!!!!
Phoned cs and made a complaint about her.
Rant continued
She has phoned again and once again asked how to find the truffles, I said put truffles in search box (she needed help spelling it lol), again said no its not there, told her to search "seasonal" again she said not there, she then asked if i had old or new shoping site with tesco - I said I have no idea it has always looked the same site to me.
She then discovers she has the "new" version of the shopping site and I am to blame for having the old version!
She asks me do I have the email showing them for 1p when ordered placed, I spend 5 mins opening all my emails that relate to this order as I had added things through the days leading up to dispatch.
She the asks do I have a fax - I reply "no"
She then asks me to post it to her, I say "no", I suggest she finds someone who still has access to the tesco shopping site in the normal old format like me, to which she replies she is not walking round every member of staff in Tesco to see who has the old system.
At that point I tell her I have already made a complaint this morning about her, I walk with phone to get the door and loose the signal on my phone.0 -

If you are replying to my Sainsbury's and Waitrose experiences, I have every intention of writing to both company's! When the I get told something like this in a store again, and I'm certain I will (I don't seem to live in a very bright area of the country!), I think I will just ask the person if it hurt when they were hit with the stupid stick!!!;)Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -
