Went shopping today to Asda and Tesco
Wanted to use the £2 Airwick coupon in Asda (I had 4 of them), but she would only take 2 x £2. I had bought 4 Airwick sprays at £1 each, she called the SA and would not budge, got fed up of arguing in the end and let her win. Will go back in a few days with the other Airwick coupons.
She also would not take my Finish coupons (only 3 x £1) as the Finish on offer was not the same as on my coupon.
Went to Tesco and had a better time. Used 2 x £2.79 Dove coupons (only bought 2 x £1 each so the rest off my shop). Used a £2.50 FF too, no problems at all. Also had to get a DD of £1 as overcharged on something. I was happy with the result anyway.
Happy couponing everyone.0 -

I have had the same kind of problem in 3 different asda's. One of the SA told me that they had been told to watch out for coupons for more than the product, so I think maybe they have all had a memo. I also got told you can't use a coupon on a product which is on offer or on rollback. So I am keeping away from asda now and am glad Tesco have brought down the price of the dove.
I am trying to find the email address for farmfoods, can someone who has emailed them succesfully for some coupons pm me with it please.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I did'nt move them , she posted them over there and posted a link here (which I actually left if you check)
Gills mistake was twofold , not checking it was the right area, free spend ( as in nothing to pay to get it) or Low spend (may have to pay postage or something to get ) and doing a quick search before posting them to see if they had already been posted by somone else.
it's explained here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1237137
I have nothing to do with them being merged/moved/deleted or anything on Freebies as I only have BG powers in the areas listed in my signature
as explained in my previous posts I will move any freebies and competitions to the correct parts of the forum and remove any posts that offer coupon swaps/donations by post etc
thank you dr who who, and yes the last few I have tried to post on the "right" freebies site, at lst I didnt realise there where 2 freebie sites, and I did search and didn't find the original posts, I am guilty as charged but it wont happen again, its too much like hard work, I will just continue to send my finds to the ppl who have let me have their email addies.Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.

Times have changed for coupon use!
We are all aware of it!
ALL outlets now state they operate by the conditions on the coupon:A
eg "Do not accept against any other product, do not accept in conjuction with any other discount or offer":A
or "please do not attempt to redeem the coupon against any other product":A
" this coupon cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and cannot be exchanged for cash":A
Individual stores WILL vary with their policies, also untrained or rogue staff may accept against the manager's instructions.;)
Some managers will allow them, knowing that s/he sells enough of the products to "get away with it" and substantially boost his store profit!;);)
But let's be realistic and note that people [STRIKE]abusing[/STRIKE] overdoing the system....myself included, I guess:o, (and some using fraudulent coupons:wall:) spoiled the whole Tesco policy, and now for folk that used Waitrose, their policy.
MOVING ON....IF we now get away with using a coupon to get money off, lets be thankful, before the next stage, of all printable coupons getting banned in all outlets. ( as can currently happen in Tescos by "manager's discretion")
This forum has "morphed" (as I think mad nicely put it:beer:), in a great fashion since coupons WERE used as cash, but the forum should still primarily (IMHO) be used for PRINTABLE MONEY OFF COUPONS and policies, as stated in the title, and where they can be used for most benefit!!!!It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)0 -

Think Asda are getting wise on any MOC as like on ebay someone been selling photo-copies of airwick moc's with the same unique code on them, these been selling for ages now, i bought some (didn't use btw) emailed the seller who tried tell me how too suck eggs! No wonder Asda are getting like this, these probably just coming back to them now, I think we will see the t&c's read more, like in conjunction with any other offer. BTW I don't think a roll back is an offer is it? Thought it was a price cut.....
Sure t's wont be so vigilant though!!! they love there coupons......SIMPLES!0 -
Those lovely people at Farm Foods put a flyer in our local paper yesterday which included 2 x £2.50 and 2 x £5.00 conditional spend coupons. Expiry is 31/03/2010. Look out for them...If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0
