At least in our local S'burys SS tills are designed to accept only one coupon either buying or not buying the product.....for more than one coupon you need the aproval for each one....!!!!!!!!

To be honest I dont know if the Sainsbury in Plymouth City Centre where I visit has SS Tills, have never noticed them, so dont know how many coupons they would accept.

Not in our Sainsburys, they allow any amount but of course you're supposed to buy the right thing. ;)

And FWIW it has always been the case that ALL other supermarkets tills will scan mocs without buying the products, including their own logo mocs. That doesn't mean it's OK though, I am only saying they will scan (including Sainsburys till spits, as I posted earlier today).

Dunno why PTS would report this as if it's something new or a glitch, that's how tills work. Any self-scan or any till at all in Sainsburys will scan mocs of course, unless a store block has been put on like idlesaver described.

It was only Tesco (and Boots, M&S and a few other non-supermarket retailers) where I know they almost always programme all their own logo mocs into their tills so you get that angry beep 'computer says no' if you don't buy the right thing or spend enough.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

from what I've seen of the posts you have put Freebie (no spends) in the Freebie (low spend) section , which means they have been moved, and also some of the stuff you posted has already been posted by other people and so it has been merged with the original thread (you managed to repost something that you had posted yourself a few days earlier for free Durex Sensilube)

thankyou,. . . . . but like probably a lot of others i didnt know there were 2 different "freebie" forums, just a quick pm from the moderaters would have saved all this. and i would have posted in the right place

    Dear Browntoa,

I can think of couple of reasons why Gill posted all/most of the freebies she found
    .
    1) Not all of us reads every forum/threads on MSE. We (especially me) only dedicate our time to 1 thread (or 2 :D).

    2) Gill has helped alot of us getting freebie(s) without scrolling thru' lots of freebies on 2 of the separated threads (ie : Freebie spend & freebie no spend board). There is no harm of repeating what Gill posted over here when others have posted on the "proper" thread. It takes time to scroll thru' all the forum. I don't know you guys, but I limit my time to max. 2hrs on MSE, so what Gill posted on here are very handy.

    3) In a way what Gill posted are also related to MOC (ie : free) we are all only interested in 1 thing - if it is free than go for it. Cannot remember whether anybody has posted it or not.

In order for you not to delete my post :D:o, I shall list what I found on Asda magazine :- Feb 2010 mag. All valid @ Asda only

Pg 13 - Voucher for a free sports session valid for Feb half-term period.
Pg 34 - 30p MOC for Warbutons 600g tiger white or Tiger Brown bread. valid till 23/2/10.
Pg76 - free sample request fm Tena (u hv 2 fill in the form)
    Pg. 67 - 50p when u buy all 3 Asda stir-fry products in the 3-4-£2.50 deal. valid till 28/2.

    Next :-

6 cans of Heinz baked beans for £2.00/pack. Scanned £2.16 (got my 16p x 2 back as well as £2.00 voucher for their mistake).
RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)

I did'nt move them , she posted them over there and posted a link here (which I actually left if you check)

Gills mistake was twofold , not checking it was the right area, free spend ( as in nothing to pay to get it) or Low spend (may have to pay postage or something to get ) and doing a quick search before posting them to see if they had already been posted by somone else.

    it's explained here

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1237137

I have nothing to do with them being merged/moved/deleted or anything on Freebies as I only have BG powers in the areas listed in my signature

as explained in my previous posts I will move any freebies and competitions to the correct parts of the forum and remove any posts that offer coupon swaps/donations by post etc
