How to do good at Christmas 🎄

  • Hi a way to give to multiple charities is givto.org
Each month your recipient is given three charities to chose between - like the supermarket token scheme - you chose how much much each month and for how long
    More details givto.org/gift
Go to is created and run by a charity and we are all volunteers who want to raise more funds for charities big and small

  • If you have anyone who loves travelling and animals there are so many charities out there.

I am getting myself the gift of sterilisation for feral cats in Cyprus, there are over 4 million stray cats on the island. I have personally seen the work that https://fishingforfelines.com/ does around Paphos

Another charity that I have personally seen work in Mauritius is https://4pawsrescue.co.uk/ which helps stray dogs in Mauritius which is a real problem and live in some horrendous conditions

There are so many charities desperately needing funds to make a difference. Both charities have amazing Facebook pages and would be glad of any likes, shares or donations

    Thank you

  • Sponsoring a puppy with Guide Dogs for the blind is a nice idea for a Christmas gift. Can all be done online.

This year (2025) they have "Parsnip", "Clara", and "Merry". Through your sponsorship you get to follow them as they train to try and become life-changing guide dogs for people in the UK with visual impairments.

Perfect for animal lovers and those who you know want to make a difference, your gift includes regular 'Pupdates,' about their progress, a cuddly toy, personalised certificates etc...
  • The Bike Project refurbishes unwanted bikes for refugees in the UK giving them freedom and independence as they rebuild their lives. This year you can buy a Gift for a Refugee for their winter appeal yourself or on behalf of the cyclist in your life!

Refugees housed in hotels are given just £9.95 per week to live on - so a bike can make a big difference. One refugee said "You have given us independence, confidence and the ability to move forward - literally and emotionally...having a cycle is not a gift, it is a lifeline."

    🗝 £12 = could pay for a d-lock to help safeguard a refugee's bike from theft
🔒 £30 = could buy a cycle safety kits – locks, lights and helmet
    🚴‍♀️ £60 = could cover a woman's cycling lesson
    🚴‍♂️ £100 = could provide a refurbished bike for a refugee child

    Just search them up!
