Can I suggest the D.E.C. disasters Emergency Committee for the charity gift scheme.:money:0

A really affordable gift is a Plant a Tree xmas card from award-winning conservation charity Trees for Life. Only £6, or 3 for £16! A tree will be planted in your loved one's name, helping to restore the ancient Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands, combat climate change and protect the forest's species from extinction.
I'm buying lots of these this year for all those people that already have all they need.
Website at treesforlife.org.uk, cards are in the Christmas Shop.0 -
I recommend the NSPCC's Letter from Santa letters. For a suggested donation of £5, each child receives a lovely personalised letter from Santa.
All the proceeds support ChildLine, the UK's only 24 hour helpline and online service for children and young people. Very worthwhile cause0 -
I used to support this charity until I read bad reports on how it wasted millions of donated pounds. Maybe they are untrue but made me think again.Waddle you do eh?0

Parkinson's UK has created some amazing gift cards!
Give your nearest and dearest a gift that will last forever by giving them a Parkinson's UK Skillful gift!
These gift cards have details on how to perform and perfect such skills as playing the spoons, making a sock monkey and the art of juggling so you can make the most hard to please person smile (or perform a trick!)
Of course, all the profit from gifts goes to the charity to support people with Parkinson's though our helpline, our information workers and nurses. The money will also help us fund research to find a cure.

This Christmas, Lions Clubs International Foundation WILL be helping thousands in need in the Philippines with direct aid equipment and funds to local Lions clubs on the spot in order to try to relive some of the suffering this Christmas. I am a retired Lion of over 20 years, and have seen the difference that honest, hard-working men and women around the world can make. Please help if you can and contact your local Lions Club
Correct me if I'm wrong but Lions Club International don't appear to be a charity. There's no charity number on the home page of the UK version of their website.0 -
UNICEF's website (the Delivery & Returns page) states that "Your order is with Hallmark Consumer Services. UNICEF UK will receive half of the net profits of the sale of cards and gifts sold as part of our Christmas campaign." How does this fit with the information on MSE's Charity Gifts page that "For every £1 donated, 76p goes to Unicef's work with children, 22p goes to fundraising, and 2p towards administration"?0

The Leprosy Mission (tlmtrading.com) is a great place to purchase a "gift for life" for those suffering from leprosy. You can buy many gifts from £10 for school materials or orthopaedic sandals right up to purchasing a fishing boat or a house! I've bought from here and they are very trustworthy.0

I don't think Save The Children is in the list, but they have "Wishlist" which they have been doing for several years - it works in a similar way to Oxfam's Unwrapped.0
