Internet access abroad

Can anyone help me? I am looking for the cheapest way to access the internet whilst abroad. I am going to Austria for a week next month and there is no free wi fi. I was hoping to find a dongle that gave me an amount of data for a set amount that I could plug into my laptop

Roaming rates on a dongle are horrendous. Buy a local dongle there, or a local SIM to use in an unlocked dongle. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

How would I go about getting an unlocked dongle and is there one you would recommend?

Buy a standard dongle, just Google the model and 'unlock'. Lots of places offering this service-try your local independent mobile shop.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Buy a ZTE M627 PAYG Mobile Broadband USB Modem via Quidco
Replacing the Firmware unlocks it.0
