No - let's say you spend £50. You would receive double your spend i.e. 50x2=100, plus triple 50(as per blurb)=150. TOTAL:250.
Always use the FREEPHONE no. to check this has been done a couple of days later.
Also, always check the quadruple points have been given for mobile top-ups.
Thanks for that! I'll just have to hope the item comes back into stock before the 14th May!
I really didn't think it could be possible - but it looks like it just might!0 -
i'm a little confused.
if i goto tesco & buy £100 worth of stuff, can i scan my clubard & get 100 points & then pay with my clubcard visa & get another 75 points (5 per £4 spent)
i am not sure if i can use both on the same transaction
thanks0 -
Tesco are sending out new clubcards along with a letter saying that if you take your old card back to the store for recycling, they'd put the card into a draw for a prize of £1,000 worth of points.
However, in their wisdom, Tesco have decided that only certain stores (the smaller ones) are participating.
My sister tried entering at a local Tesco Extra, and the CS girl told her that she'd been inundated with complaints this morning and that Sis should ring head office to complain. Sister rang and got her card entered for the draw but was furious at the rigmarole.
I haven't seen the letter yet, so I don't know if they mention the fact that it's a small-store-only offer. So if you get one of these letters, and you don't live near a small branch of Tesco (quite a rarity, I know) then be aware that you have to fing head office (I assume it's the freephone clubcard number) if you want to be entered.0 -
Hi,
Not sure if anyone else has found this out or not.
I tried to do some recycling this morning at my local Tesco only to be stopped in my tracks as the New ClubCard key fob is designed slightly differently. The barcode on it that you normally push into the slot to register is smaller than last time and so wouldn't scan, therefore no points ! ! I looked at where the red light scanning thing is and it doesn't go over the barcode. I tried pushing it in all ways and on both of the slots and nothing.
My local was collecting the old cards for the competition so had got rid of my old one couple of days ago.
Will have to go back to giving the council my recycling instead and not earning on it

My usual refrain - get the Clubcard Plus instead and have double points(see all posts and Martin's article)
Ring Freephone HO 0800-505555(ask them to tfr you, don't be fobbed off with an 0845 no)and ask for an Appn form.
All other details much repeated elsewhere on forum.

Must admit I'm with you on this one - only because I don't honestly think I could be bothered with all the topping up stuff required to put the money on the Clubcard Plus, so I tend to stick to this, so yes you can use both in the same transaction, to answer your question.0 -
Fewer points though - and if you're flush enough/consistent enough in your shopping, you can simply make your monthly DD higher.
I love double points!CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Not sure if this is the right place - perhaps it is more a referrals post. I have just signed up to Tesco Car Insurance. There is 1000 points on offer for RAF - for the referrer and the referee. I'm saving up for RAC - only just started though! By my reckoning I need 4375 points to get a voucher for £43.75 is this correct?
Mods please move if inappropriate, or fellow MSEers, please shoot me down in flames and I will edit.
