Hi
Does anyone have one of these and are they any good?
Most of my friends are raving about them! But are they worth the money?
I have a 25% off vertbaudet code to get one so not paying the full price, but would it be another 'gadget'?
Thanks for any help.

Sorry folks, but it is difficult to do a link to vertbaudet to show you! It just links to home page as you will see above..Do a search and you will see it.
It is basically a small processor for doing baby food. You put in veg etc and it steams, then you can process it, all in one system. It also defrosts. You can put food in and leave it to do its thing with no hasssle of pan, blender etc and keeping a watchful eye on it (which us new mums don't have)!
'Apparently' it is supposed to be very good, but was hoping to hear some opinions on it?
Sorry to be unclear in previous post.
And thanks for any advice!

Hi, I would say this is a waste of money.
Our baby was only on properly pureed foods for two months, and I can now just use a fork to slightly chop his food, or he eats finger foods like bread and cheese, bananas etc.
Invest in a decent handblender and just steam in batches, freeze in ice cube trays and take out the night before to defrost..easy!
You can also buy little bags that you put veg/ fruit in, then microwave and it works the same as steaming, very handy, a lot of my friends use them!Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
just seen your post. Thought I would let you know that I loved my Beaba.. and used it all the time when i was weaning my little girl. I haven't checked your link to Vertbaudet to see how much it is there. Mine was bought in France as all my friends over there had one... I don't regret, it saved time and made food nice and easy. I have since lent it to 2 of my friends who really liked it too. Having said that it is the easy option as it does everything for you.. you just have to wash, peel and put in the container. you can always use a steamer, a blender etc etc..
If you can afford one (or get as a present like i did!) i certainly recommend it. good luckA friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)

The one in Vertbaudet is £60, but I have 25% off next order.
How long exactly did you use it for? I already have a hand blender so not sure if it is worth it? Is it something else to clutter my work top?
Thanks for your replies so far.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
lol
Sums up what I want to say, if you have a handblender anyway then just use that.
Imagine how many nappies/clothes etc you could buy with that money,
And trust me, even if you get one, after a month or so it will just become kitchen clutter.
My cousin bought an all singing , dancing bottle warmer/cooler, and passed it onto us, we used it for one night and realised it's much less hassle to do it the old fashoned way.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0
