Smileys noted. Well we did quite well this time around. 8.10 broke Windows network browsing and prematurely killed hard drives. 9.04 broke Intel drivers which was a big problem for 90% of the laptop users. They didn't do that this time but instead broke 3g dongles which again, is a problem for a great many laptop users. However, this time they also used EXT4 as the default filesystem which has known data loss issues with large file movements.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
It's morphed into another 'Linux sux' thread.

  • Top tip for passwords:

Take the first letters of a song or nursey ryhme

for example: The Grand old Duke of York he had ten thousand men

    would become :
tgodoyhhttm (first letter of the above)

you could then add in numbers /non alphanumeric passwords such as:
    tg0d$yhhttm/

the o's have been replaced with a zero and a dollar sign and at the end a slash put in.

So when you enter in the password you are singing/saying the words in your end as you type!
