I have come accross a few different forums on google about this company, and there are quite alot saying bad words, i am very worried!

I just wish i took my best friends advice now and done this all by myself, using this website's template letters and advice.

    What can i do now?

lol the banks would be there for years !

Okay - first thing you need to do is call Freedman Frankl and Taylor - telephone.png 0161 834 2574 and ask them whats happened to Bank Charge Specialists

Should give you a better idea of where things stand

Did you pay them by credit card ?

I expect the number of claims companies failing to increase. We are starting to see this happen more and it will only accelerate. Too many were pinning their hopes on cases that are now being lost or were never likely to win and are suffering cashflow problems.

I also wonder if some were set up on purpose to get up front fees with the intention of going insolvent later on. Probably to phoenix into new companies to repeat the process.

So looks like they are still going but may be have handed their claims over to Cartel ? Could try calling Cartel and asking them maybe? (Just don't go getting sold anything else!) ie. they arent the dissolved ones, and are still regulated by the MOJ. so thats good news:)

thanks for that, i have just phoned them and they will get back to me with information, apparently they were clients of them but not anymore, you have given me a glimmer of hope xx

If you have only forked out £118.00 you have got off pretty light.
Another poster has paid over £1200.00. Sadly the thread has been deleted so we will never know what happened.

Thats good, glad you called them, have they given you any more information at all that we don't already know ?

The debit card you used - was it a visa debit card ?

The situation is much more complicated for debit cards: if you made the purchase while your current account was in an overdraft, the purchase was technically made on credit and is covered by the Consumer Credit Act, the same as a credit card.
If your account is not in the red, then your refund will depend on whether the debit card is provided by Visa or Maestro. If it is Maestro, you are not entitled to any kind of refund, unless the goods or services were ordered from a website whose 'centre of operations' is outside the UK. Visa debit cards operate under a 'chargeback scheme'. This allows customers to a refund if goods or services are not delivered as described; although banks that provide Visa debit cards are obliged to make a refund – and you should stress that you are entitled to one even if they initially claim ignorance – it is not legally binding as in the case of a credit card. You have 120 days to make your claim.
