Do any of you gurus on here know of an alternative contact address for Dell other than their patently inept customer service email contacts? I’ve just purchased a PC tower and sent 3 emails in the last 14 days and only received one reply which was full of spelling mistakes and didn’t answer anything. I have a concern about the payment they took out of my account. An address that might reach the top would be helpful. These people drive you mad.

they even have a 'click to talk' immediate text chat function on their website. try that.

Well I give up. I spent two hours on the phone to Dell the other day and I got passed to wrong dept to wrong dept. I was livid. When I eventually got through to the right person she told me that she would email me with a response to my query yesterday and gave me her direct telephone number and reference number if I need her again. She didn’t email me yesterday and the number she gave me puts me right through to the list of departments that were all the wrong departments. There is no option on the phone for my query. All I wanted to know was when Dell took the payment for my PC out of my bank account. Nothing should be simpler.

All this running around endlessly trying to get a simple response has knocked the whole gloss off buying my brand new PC, to the extent that I’m now getting rid of the PC and the internet. I cannot face having another problem or the thought of ringing Dell call centres again. I’ve had enough. 0 -
Doesn't the transaction appear on your bank statement????
I can't believe you are getting rid of the Internet, What are we going to do now??
This all seems quite bizarre!0 -
Of course it says on my bank statement when Dell took the money. But the statement is incorrect and I'm in dispute with the bank about when Dell took the money. That is why I need Dell to confirm when they took the money. As I said though, I cant get a simple reply from them.0

If you buy from their website they and use a Debit card then they take it the same time you confirm your order. So would be the day you ordered it. Just the Bank might not record the transaction for a few days thats why you get a current balance and available funds balanceSurvey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

You're right. When I paid Dell by visa card the money came out my account a couple of days later. I know that for a fact because I saw my bank statement. However, the bank are claiming that Dell took the money some 3 weeeks later and that is why I need Dell to clear up the muddle.0

So other than a date on the statement , Have Dell sent the correct purchased item and charged you the right price?Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

Yes they have charged the right price, though they may have taken the money twice. This is part-and-parcel of the problem I need to clear up with them. If i could just find out the date in which they took then money then I would know if Dell have made the mistake or the bank.0
