Aberdeen flights - any chance of a bargain in Jan sales?

Hi,
We're planning on going to Aberdeen Feb/March time. We last visited in Oct, paying around £50 pp with flybe from Birmingham, and prices seem to be the same next year too.

My question is, have we any chance of getting them cheaper in January sales (do such things exist? I'm sure I have read so)

We live in Hull, so the closer the airport the better, but to fly from Humberside is MUCH more expensive.

As there are a few of us going, the cheaper we can get the flights the better.

There's a similar sort of topic not too far down but I didn't want to hijack.

Think you'll struggle to find it cheaper but happy to be proven wrong!

You're going to be going a long way out of your way from Hull to get to the airport, so you might as well take the train. Advance singles from Hull to Aberdeen (best purchased via eastcoast.co.uk to avoid additional fees) start from £20.50, and will be on sale roughly twelve weeks in advance of travel.

I doubt you'll be able to get flights for less than £50 return, and that's before you consider the airport transfers...

£50 return to Aberdeen is a steal, I can't see it being any cheaper than that. Its an expensive airport to fly to mainly because most of the industry up there is oil based, and most of the flights are therefore priced accordingly.

Very little low cost activity, I think easyJet to Luton and flyBe to a few places (of which BHX always seems to be the cheapest). I went in October and got £50 return from flyBE from Birmingham, it never got cheaper than that, it increased significantly.

Due to the oil industry in Aberdeen you need to book your flights and hotels as early as possible to get best prices and availability.
