I think one of my first no-limit use ISPs was RedHotAnt (anyone remember them?
) and I never trusted them with my email. That must have been 10 years ago.
Hotmail's best for most people as it's a "free" professional service and they look after your mail too. Everyone (including my MP!) I know uses Hotmail. Yes, it's not for everyone but it's perfect for most uses. You can use it now too free with Hotmail/Live POP3 if you have the later versions of Outlook https://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/01/16/hotmail-free-pop3-and-smtp-access-and-server-configuration-settings/
Also www.googlemail.com0 -

How do you come to that conclusion?
And yes, I remember RedHotAnt

Which conclusion? Hotmail?
It's simple to use, works very very well, rarley they lose data, it's "free", well supported, in-built scam, virus and trojan checking etc etc.
POP3 is good for people who have 1000s of emails or use it with other apps that are part of a business but I see no use otherwise when there's great webmail around.0 -

So it is just the same as dozens of email providers then, and is just your personal preference
