Just wondering if anyone knows a rough price guide for Carpet Right fitting a carpet (not underlay) and if anyone else knows if they move furniture for you?
Cheers

seem to remember we paid something like £50 for two rooms a similar size to that (including fitting underlay). The rooms were empty though. Carpetright just use local fitters - they don't have their own0

They don't exactly 'use' any fitters at all. They select a fitter for you, the fitter collects the carpet, fits it and you pay them direct. At least that was how they did it with mine. They also charge a ludicrously high local delivery charge, which presumably allows them to quote quite a cheap fitting rate.
The fitters must have to do about 10 jobs a day to earn a decent wage, so don't expect them to take a lot of time over the job.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi,
I'm having a carpet fitted by CarpetRight in the next couple of weeks, and the procedure is you pay the fitter £40 on the day, and the room needs to be totally empty.
Hope this helps0 -
I visited two different branches of Carpetright when I was last looking for carpet and was quoted £94 by the first and £45 by the second to fit carpet only in a room 4.3m x 3.7m.0

I noticed at a large local carpet shop the fitters arriving
to pick up their jobs for the day and loading
carpets so asked one them if they would fit mine.
Bought it loaded it in the car and took it away
fitter charged a lot less than the shop price
and did just as good a job for cash in hand.
including laying the underlay. He also included the
other bits and bobs for round the carpet edges and
doorways:j:j:j0 -
Will admit being a Carpet Right fan , Yes ( as I have posted in the past ) the fitters are independent. They could very easily have just fitted a carpet bought from a vastly more expensive shop.so don't expect them to take a lot of time over the job.
Yes they work fast . its what they do all day
But as you only pay AFTER fitting , its up too you to check the fitting before handing over the cash.
Glad to see others posting some installation prices , broadly in line with my memories . Another poster ( in another thread ) quoted £450 .... must have been a mistake.0 -
I've just paid £70 for 3 bedroom a total of 35sq metres for fitting including putting on new grippers and underlay.. He did a great job too!
so £2 per metre0 -
