Just noticed since the reboot that AVG has become fully active again - which is strange as I did reboot after the update this morning and it didn't have any effect.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0

I can't see anything obvious that would conflict with AVG in your HJT log. I would just see what happens now that it has sorted itself out - should be fine. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
To be honest the HijackThis log looks pretty clean.
It's possible that AVG was in mid update this morning, which could have given the errors.

OP, you need to run Windows Updates, as you are still on XP SP2. SP3 was released well over a year ago now.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Macman - that's strange, as I do get the automatic updates fairly regularly - will get that sorted.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

As you have only just updated to version 9, give it a try - it is better than previous versions (boots quicker and scans quicker) and updates reliably daily. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
