Argh help with sony ericsson k770i

I have a sony ericsson k770i and tonight it has decided to die on me. It was working fine, then I went to swap the sim card over and now the flipping thing won't switch on!
When I switch it on or plug the charger in the little battery light flashes red really fast then it does nothing.
Is it the phone or battery do you reckon? The battery had a full charge
