I am not trying to run away from this debt
Yes you are:rolleyes:........It wasn't that long ago there was shame attached to debt, sadly thats gone and we as a nation are poorer for it.Given the present problems the country is facing it should right itself soon;)0 -

This website used to be a money saving site, now its a site since the bank charge battle commenced were the bottom feeders of society come for advice on how to commit borderline fraud often.
What utter drivvel... you do not have a clue what you are on about! The people that look into unenforceability are not the bottom feeders nor are they the dregs of society as you so rudely imply!
What you mean to say is you're jealous as hell cos you're stupid enough to pay for an unenforceable debt? The law is there for a reason, that does not make those that utilise it dregs of society!
You are unreal

Does anyone know if they would still do a payment plan on this? I'd more than love to settle if I had the spare cash!!! Again, I am nervous about asking them else they'll harass.
Thanks
You should ignore them until March at which time the debt will legally become statute barred. If the letters start to come thick-and-fast then post back and we'll tell you how to stop them (send a prove it letter and then SAR them etc - this wastes time and at the same time is not acknowledging the debt).
Any offer to pay right now would be a grave mistake - you should not consider paying!
Ignore the silly comments coming from wasters, they have nothing valuable to say (usually cos they are just thick) so they try and intimidate others that are more savvy than themselves

You think it is ok to borrow money and not pay it back
When did this attitude of 'looking to get out of paying debts', come in?
If your employer didn't pay you because your claim for your pay was unenforceable, would you think that was ok too? Or if the banks and building societies refused to lend to you ever again or give you a bank account, because of your poor attitude to debt repayment, would that be ok too?0 -

There are laws covering the payment of earnings as there are laws covering the recovery of money owed .
If they were that bothered by the debt they should have got a ccj and then had the debt enforced through the courts, but they couldnt be arsed for whatever reason and now under the law the debt is statute barred.
So happy days for the op.0 -

Borrowing money with no intention of repaying it is criminal. I would agree with this in proncipal but if someone loaned me money then forgot about it for 6 years I would not be complaining. As a previous poster has said 'the law is there for a reason'
Whilst all opinions are welcome on MSE it has become apparent that some posters feel the need to belittle others. That is not what MSE is about, I think some people need to re-evaluate themselves and think before they post!0 -

If you take out a loan - you pay it back. Whats so difficult to get?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Only "happy days" if they have no pride, surely?
pride or morals has nothing to do with it.
wheres pride or morals when the banks kick people out of their homes, use peoples benefits to offset other debts leaving them with no money to feed themselves and quite happily let get you further into debt knowing they will make a fortune from the charges they will apply .
the banks dont give two ####s about its customers so why should we feel any different about them?0
