Would like to get OH an iphone for xmas.
I have one of the earliar models and am really pleased.
Would like to get latest model, probably contract, but doesn't mateer if a good deal.

Basically no.
Apple are reported to control the phone price and the tariffs they are on. Look at all the people selling them and they are pretty much the same price give or take a few pounds over the term of the contract.
You'll not get much of a discount on them anywhere0
