No, mine goes up on Christmas Eve morning and is decorated Christmas Eve evening after the Crib Service and before bed.
• Decorations are up but as we are now MSE we haven't bought a tree this year - €20 saved! :money:

No tree for me! I live on my own and don't particularly like Christmas, so seems a bit pointless.

I put mine up on the 2nd of December. I was so fed up with the awful weather I thought it might cheer me up. It did :j Also my son and his partner came home this weekend and I wanted them to see the house all Christmassy as I will be spending the festive period with them in London. I don't think mine has ever been up so early :snow_laug

Ours won't go up until next weekend. As this isn't specific to MoneySaving Old Style I'll move it over to the Christmas MoneySaving board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Ours has always gone up the week before Christmas along with the decorations even when the kids were little.
We must look like real 'bah humbugs' in our street..........they've all got their lights on and trees up:rotfl:

Carpets being cleaned on Thursday so tree will go up at the weekend. Usally do it the first weekend in Dec as the kids keep on and we tend to be quite busy closer to Christmas.

For years ours went up on the 1st. Then 2 years ago dd arrived on the 3rd so last year they went up the 4/5th.

This year they are not going up untill the 18th. A mixture of I can't be doing with telling dd off for touching it every 2 mins and we are now on a electric meter so want it up for less time + the boys finish school on the 18th so can really start christmas off then :T

This is the first year in 10 years we are not first to have ours up in our street. 2 houses have put theirs up today.

Ours went up the last day of November, we have 4 children so it is great fun doing it all together, then we sit in front of the big tree and take a photo of us all together.
