Hi All,

For some coming to the end of thier 3G Contract on the 12th of December (Contract end date 12th Jan), you may be wondering what to do...

Well good news if you where looking at Simplicty, 02 have now modified the Simplity Tariff to fit with the Iphone, so you still pay £20pm but you get all the bells and whistles of the Iphone contract.
  • 600min
  • 1200 Txts
  • Visual Voice Mail
  • WiFi (The Cloud)
  • 3G (Unlimited)
(note previously simplity you had to pick only one bolt on and you would loose the WiFi to the Cloud - or pay extra and VVM vanished!)

It's not currently on the Web Site, but any user coming to the end of the contract should go through to retentions, mention "Simplicty for the Iphone" and the staff should know about it.

Great news for anyone at the end of the contract, not wanting to move to the 3Gs until the next generation in a matter of 6 months.

The Simplity is the £20pm, 30 day contract one.

In addition, with Vodafone and Orange now having the IPhone, people wishing to upgrade the phone, may find they can strike a better deal as thier contract expires. The Guy wouldn't elaberate until after the 12th of this month for me (earliest anyone can be upgrading from a new 3G contract).

Hope this helps and happy shopping....

BTW - Ring now to avoid the rush (they will just set your account to roll over on the 12th of December).

Regards
DarrenJ

Thanks for this. I had phoned & been advised I could go onto £30 a month rolling contract but this is much better.

Can this be taken up by anyone, or is it only for people on an expiring O2 iphone contract?
Why pay more than you have to?
  • Hi,

It worth giving them a ring, I understand people currently on simplicity, using the Iphone, can get changed over, by calling.

Other it would apply to are possibly Iphone Version 1 users or people who have PAYG IPhone 3G / 3Gs or people who have purchased non contract IPhones.

Based on the £45 a month contract, this deal saves £300 a year, which has got to be good news until the next generation IPhone comes out.

    Good luck.

    Regards
    Darren

Anyone can have it. I don't even have an Iphone yet and they gave it to me.

I got changed onto this tarrif today and i've been with them less than a week on Simplicity 15. Told them I was getting a new iphone for christmas and I wanted this tariff.

Comes into effect on the next billing date which is 4th Jan for me.
