As you are on Vista try turning off the AddOns.A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage

Update for all those of you who have been so helpful.Our friend came at the weekend and uninstalled IE8 then eventually reinstalled it.He finds things on the computer i had no idea are there!! and looked at several things,not sure what else he did.
Anyway it has worked ,and i can safely log in now,getting no more worrying messages.0
