Eon / Tesco Clubcard Points Cop-out
Comments

Hi BonandDom,
The Post Card in question is being sent to Tesco customers who receive points for their energy spend from E.ON but who appear to not use the vouchers/points that Tesco then send to them.
I expect those who regularly use their Tesco points won't be receiving the Post Card campaign.
Brian“Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Thanks for that Brian, worried there that I had missed the card, but as I always spend my vouchers probably not much chance of that :rotfl:Light travels faster than sound - that's why you can see someone who looks bright until they open their mouth.0

Hi Spuance,
I’m sorry the agents you spoke to weren’t aware of this campaign yet. I know here at E.ON the document about this was sent to our employees on Monday, however I know that not everyone will have been briefed by their line managers immediately.
Due to the nature of this case, I have managed to find a liaison over at Tesco, and if you email me your Tesco Club Card number to my email address, I can make arrangements for you club card file to be updated as though you had swiped the voucher in store.

Thankyou very much Brian.
I have emailed you as requested and it is very kind of you to arrange this for me with your counterparts at Tesco.
I can see the reasoning behind the campaign now but still feel that it has been done in a rather clandestine manner. Surely it would have been much easier and clearer to invite those able to do so to visit a weblink or otherwise to punch their details into an automated phone line?
Usually I buy my annual RAC breakdown cover with Tesco Clubcard vouchers but owing to a change of personal circumstances I didn't need that this year and didn't actually redeem any Tesco points until 30th November (for an annual subscription for 'Yours' magazine).
Thanks again and a big thumbs-up for customer service.
