Unlocking after porting

Hi,

I am just wondering whether anyone knows the answer to this, I have recently agreed to join T - Mobile and am due to have my number ported across tomorrow, about 10 days ago I requested and paid for my current phone to be unlocked by Orange, they said this would take between 10-15 days for my code to come through.

My question is, after my number is ported across to Tmobile and my Orange Sim therefore becomes redundant will this still work? I spoke to Orange about this and they said it would just get sent through to my new SIM with Tmobile. Given the fact that she wasnt really convincing I am just wondering whether this is the case?

Orange will either text or email you code depending on which you gave them.
That you're no longer with them isn't a problem.
