jobseekers allowance stage 2

Me too. I have never had to sign on every week for six weeks but I am not getting any JSA now either, I guess they are more interested in those that are claiming.
I have never done a jobsearch at home over the phone with them either. Had the stage 2 interview but it didnt really help.
I wish they would phone me to do the jobsearch instead of having to go into the office after school as I have to take along my two very young kids its hardly a good time to be discussing anything when they are they too0 -
didnt think they would allow the job search to be conducted over the phone at home, usually they want to see you come in when they ask so that they know you arent working without telling them. may be different depending where you live.
going back to someone mentioning a list of jobs that you had to confirm if you applied or not, the log book itself should be sufficient enough they should have no reason to ask you to show proof unless it is about back dated claims from anytime you were not getting jsa.0 -

have you got a job now then if you are signing for the last time ?
Yes I have a job Now start Thursday. No This happen this morning at my last signing on when she pulled out the list and I had to check yes or No boxs If I have applied, but I have been long term unemployed over 6 months!
How long have you been signing on for ? Maybe you have all this to come yet.0 -

It does seem strange they did this, they checked my job search booklet every time I signed on and they dated it and signed it too.Maybe this is a new thing there doing.0 -
Sorry I forgot to mention, what I mean is by a list, is what the adviser found for me and printed out at these's every signing weekly appointments.0

I have been unemployed for over 6 months butI dont get any benefit now maybe thats why they are not so bothered. They print me off the odd job now and again when I sign on but sometimes the jobs they suggest when I phone up the details arent correct ,or the hours were no good for me so it would be fruitless my applying for them if I could not do the hours0 -
FYI... the JC will also be closed Christmas Eve this year too!!
There is always an extra day allowed over the Xmas period... therefore last opening day is 23rd.. & re-open on the 29th (after Monday Bank Holiday)..
Anyone due to sign between then will be 'excused'.Oops!! Should I have posted this??? Some users don't think I shouldn't be offering advice due to my occupation!!!0 -

they may have changed how they do things as it was a while ago when i had to do the 6 week jobsearch. the way it was put to me was for 6 weeks you have to do a weekly jobearch with us. the 3 weeks during that when you sign on the jobsearch will be done then like normal and for the other 3 weeks we can either phone you or you can come in. obviously i chose for them to phone me. like i said previously i havent had to do any kind of 6 week jobsearch this time around.0 -
