I now have another email saying its on its way. I have asked them for a tracking number but no joy but each time I contact them, they apologise and say its on its way.so the company said, but this is the same company who said they had returned and then still had the xbox
As I said, I have used them before and they were fine, not sure whats gone wrong this time.
The company is called gcmods and the address is in Warrington. I have looked on yell etc. but they have no number listed. www.gcmods.co.uk
Somewhere I have a nagging suspicion that the xbox has gone missing. I suspect it is a one or two man (person) business, and the admin side is not very good.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Probably because he is a sole trader, not a limited company.
You need to be REALLY careful sending valuable consoles etc to companies that have no substance to them, and no contact phone numbers.
This guy MIGHT be a really good repairer, and if you were local to him you could always go round to his house to get reassurance, but I would not take the risk.0 -
Hi, as said, have used them before, on recommendation from my nephew. He had sent them an old PS2 and they fixed it fine.
Have also sent them an old xbox and it was returned within the week. They are relatively local which is why they were recommended, otherwise would not have used them.
Have had an email today in response to paypal complaint saying, yet again, that its on its way back, so will wait and see.
Thanks for those who've replied.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Good luck gilligansyle, I hope this one works out OK for you in the end.
Just remember to be careful in future - the internet can make something look very credible, and we drop our guard very easily.

YAY!!! Its back and working perfectly!!
Also got a £20 refund as a gesture of goodwill for the delay.
I think they just need to sort their systems out so they know what they have fixed, dispatched etc. It seems like every time I asked for a tracking number they realised it was still there. Surprisingly on this occasion, they told me it had been signed for, as it had arrived while it was out, so they were obviously watching out for it.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
