I started doing the comps in October after lurking around the freebies and grabbit boards for a while before that. Got totally addicted but have only won some books so far, don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for having won something as previously I only ever won the odd bottle of sherry or fruit bowl in a raffle

I haven't entered as many as I did when I first started because of the lack of wins...however, I had a look on these boards last night and was delighted to see 3 people, from the pages I went through, have won from my posts :T I'm so glad, as at least some people are benefiting

Maybe those of us that don't win often or at all will have luck in other ways. I have a job interview later this week...so here's hoping I'm lucky in that

But I will keep plugging on after all you really DO have to be in it to win it!

I have entered loads of comps over the last few months particularly but have only won a few very small prizes since about July. I just about think 'I give up' & then I might get a small surprise win through the post which then cheers me up and gives me the incentive to keep going.

I enter 900 a week on the main comps board plus postals/texts, magazine threads and a few of the daily ones.

I haven't been able to do the advent ones as there aren't enough hours in the day for me lol.

Persistence pays, enter as many as you can and if you are limited to the amount of comping time you have, just enter the ones you really want to win.

Have fun, that's my main aim, I enjoy comping and the anticipation of any delights that turn up each day with my fab postie! He re posts any postcards that get re directed back and always gets a decent tip at Christmas as well he earns it!

Ultimately it comes down to luck on individual competitions - by entering MORE competitions, you increase your chances of winning A competition, but not a specific competition.

I did lurk on here for a few weeks before joining and glad I did cos I can thank people for posting them.

If I find something I think oooh I could post it but strewth someone beats me to it as you're all far too fast for me lol and it would be nice to be able to post something for others to take part in.

I only enter comps I want things from like the advents if there's something I dont fancy that day I wont enter.

I must admit it does get addictive and at mo I cant sleep so I end up on here seeing what I can enter but the downside of that is then entering it all on my spreadsheet which I do as I enter the comp and then every day I go through and colour out which has ended.

I find it therapeutic and takes my mind off other things and oh my does the time pass quickly but you end up with a numb bum.

I could do with winning a lap top then there's no arguments over use of the computer.

I was wondering where everyone got all the comps from.

I go on louquax and most of their comps are already on here and wouldn't know where to look for them as a bit wary of sites like the ones where you have to pick numbers etc

No way could I enter all those as I simpy do not have the time. I enter only about 30-40 per day and I find that a struggle but I enjoy doing it and have had a few wins. It really is a matter of luck at the end of the day. :j

Keep going but don't let it become a chore. Once the enjoyment has gone, then there is no point in doing it.

i enter alot of comps i do ending monthly weekly daily and advent hourly lol
i do nearly every comp apart from holidays and tickets unless i want them.
i have won alot this year had a quiet few weeks few lil bits
but i just carry on doing them keeps me busy
