    Hi I have been saving for the last few months and have decided to buy a slow cooker. I love the recipes on here but to make the most of it would love to make jam. Do they all do it or is there a specific one required, sorry total newbie to SC:eek:

    I don't think slow cookers make jam because it needs a rolling boil to set. If someone knows better I am happy to stand corrected tho.

    Its just that I have ordered a book, and it says that there are recipes for jams and conservers too. I hope you can as I have loads of fruit bushes and strawberrys lol

    I know some of the bread makers can do jam.
    lemon curd can be done in a slow cooker.

    I'd agree with Maya, for the same reason ;) I use a big pan to make jam (the base of my pressure coker, without the lid :D ).
