Mobiles.co.uk - praise
Hi All,
Just wanted to post some praise to mobiles.co.uk.......... here's my story (if you want to skip the story there is a conclusion at the bottom). I was a company phone holder until recently so needed a contract phone and also wanted to get something free out of it. Searched the web and found this deal on Mobiles.co.uk....
Nokia 5800 - Orange Dolphin 40 (1200mins,Unlimited txt & 500mb) reduced by orange at £30 per month, phone free and a free gift in my case a Nintendo Wii. (to good to be true but was the best tarrif deal so if the Wii didnt come and i was in lockerheads about the gift at least the orange contract would be ok.)
I placed my order on a Saturday night Received a txt from them on sunday saying that my order was being processed and later that day confirmation that my order had been accepted by the network. Then nothing thinking that on monday i would expect a email stating that it was being shipped but nothing. Monday night did some more digging on the web and found lots of posts about them on here and most quite negative i was now thinking i have maybe made a mistake ordering from them. Tuesday emailed them for a update. Auto responce returned but no actual responce so decided that i would send them another email basically saying that if i didnt find out where the order was at then i would cancel the order and phone orange direct (as from other posts you only actually get 7 days from the order to do that without charge or being held to the contract) after reading bad reports on here that i was worried about how genuine they where. Wednesday morning got a responce from a person! stating that the order had now been processed and request send to warehouse for shipping that day. Next day phone and Wii (which was the new version with resort and wii fit board) arrived. Phone was not in original nokia box but stated that it might not be on web advert so all ok.
So you might be asking why its taken so long to add a post this is because i was awiting orange to send me my account number to check my contract cost (had rang orange the day phone arrived to check the tarriff but she couldnt tell me the cost) i have now recieved this and is the correct £10 discounted rate of £30 per month (no cash back to claim or anything like that) and the tarrif is also correct.
Cant comment on changing the actual number over as kept the one which was sent with phone.
Conclusion - Ok they took a little longer than there order today delivery next day advertisement on there website and there response (on email) and progress status (on web) could do to be a bit faster and more accurate so that customers are more informed. But i ordered saturday evening and phone and Wii came thursday morning brilliant delivery considering most dont send gift out until 30days then wait another 30 days for delivery. Customer service could probably do to be improved they may then get the awards which they had once, won back.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes if found, just thought that all the bad press that they have that they also deserve some good for when it has worked. These are just my optionions and my experiances with this company always read the small print. Thanks for reading, G
