Advice needed RE: Aeriel

Hey Folks,
Right, i moved into my house a few months ago. I had a v ancient tele at the time so decided, because it was struggling to pick up some channels, to get myself brand new one.
I did so. It works marvellously on every single digital/ITV/Ch5 etc channel, except it flickers/crackles etc on BB1/BBC2. Now, i've tried retuning and still to no avail. However, i do remember those channels being okay once.
So, any ideas what problem could be? Do i need someone to come and check out the Aeriel in the false roof?
