Motor Experts - Can you diagnose this issue please?

If you were not touching the accelerator, the car really shouldn't be lurching forward as though the accelerator was being depressed.
I don't think any of the suggestions above (with the possible exception of bad driver skills) would cause that sympton ... in fact I'm not sure what would unless you have a fly by wire throttle system on the vehicle.
Whatever the cause it sounds like an extremely dangerous situation that has developed with your car so get it repaired by the dealer asap. Don't accept it back until they can explain the cause of the fault and can demonstrate it has now definitely been rectified.
Seems like the op needs to learn how to drive a car to me.
All ful injected cars will fuel the car if the car is moving and in a stall situation. thats why they "runaway"I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
The OP was probably driving a car at the time you were sucking on your mothers nipples.
Anyways, I got told it was a bad spark plug. Full service should remedy the issue. I will report back if the problem re-occurs.0 -
If it was a bad spark plug (which shouldn't be making the car lurch forward when the accelerator is not depressed) then a replacement should be all that is needed. A pack of four only costs a about a tenner plus fitting.
How did the person who told you it was a bad spark plug know that unless he took the spark plugs out? In which case, he should have fitted new ones if that was necessary
Much cheaper than a full service, which itself also shouldn't stop the fault either (but may help diagnose the cause)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

This has happened to me before in an old Fiesta, mine was an exhaust related problem though, I think the mid pipe had blown and was sucking in air, causing the car to lose power like the way you are explaining, but you would probably have noticed if it was that as it would sound different?!Turn £100 into £10k challenge - Member #031 - £209.48 / £10,000 - £9,790.52 to go!0

What worries me more is that you've had a warning light on for more than 8 months since the day you bought the car.....
Did you not query this with the seller or did you get it cheap?0
