cannot open some web sites please help

    The 2nd link I posted is for Norton Anti-Virus, so try that.

    IE5 - are you sure? That's quite old. Check in Help - About. Also go to https://www.windowsupdate.com and get your machine updated with any high priority updates.

    just updated system to 7.0
    But still not getting them up,just going to try going to the norton site.

    IE6, ZoneAlarm, Antivir - and it doesn't occur with Firefox or Opera, but I hope that doesn't mean people will suggest I switch

    Are they on your "Restricted sites" list?

    In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Security tab. Select the Restricted logo and clear any that you want to get to.
