RIPTOFF et al
speaking from experience of this exact problem, the solution is this...
don't cancel the contract, just tell them you're moving.
worked for me.... didn't pay a thing0 -
Virginmedia's T&C's simply call for 30 days notice. No mention of a cancellation fee - unless you are still in a contract period.0

I cancelled my Virgin Media contract because I was moving house. I was with Virgin for years (It was NTL before that, and originally CableTel),
Virgin charged me a cancellation fee of £53 for each service!
To cancel the TV package: £53
To cancel broadband: £53
To cancel the telephone: £53
Total cancellation fee: £159
What a rip off!Live in my shoes for a week, then tell me your lifes hard!0 -
i had internet with virgin for 3 months worst move ever, couldnt get wireless connection despite about 20 phones calls where they accused me of doing something wrong and 3 routers they sent me,so cancelled it,didnt pay cancellation fee,nor have i payed the last bill they sent me in oct
If your not getting a wireless connection that's sounds like it was you that had the problem and not virgin0 -
i would have to agree
3 faulty routers are unlikely and wifi is nothing to do with BB performance0
