A&L change to Santander

That is probably because their sort code was provided by a competitor to Santander (Like Egg has an HSBC sort code) and was moved onto an Abbey code
As Santander is taking over the A&L sortcode set, they don't really have a reason to change anything
As simon templar says, any changes won't havppen until next year - and are likely to have not been looked into much, the focus being on integrating the Abbey and B&B businesses.0 -
I agree. There's no sensible reason for A&L sort codes and account numbers to change, but the current A&L 9 digit account number thing will doubtless disappear to be replaced with the "more convenient"
system of having to remember 6 digits + 8 digits like at every other bank. 0
