I have just checked ebay: the boxes are selling for £50 PLUS £15 postage, and one person is even just selling the box on its own, claiming it has a leather handle - mine didn't! I feel like filing a complaint for misrepresentation!!!

I missed out on this fantastic offer as could not get my hands on one anywhere but there is no way i would be daft enough to to pay what these people are asking no matter how desperate !! In my opinion boots should have said two per customer and then maybe everyone could have had a shot at getting one .Anyone everyone that has one enjoy you lucky people !! not jealous honest ....

Had to share this with someone who might appreciate the tale!! :o

I REALLY wanted one of these tried to get one for myself sold out blah blah........looked on ebay couldn't believe that people would be so stupid to pay that much for one so resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't meant to have one........

Anyway last night I was given a present by my lovely elderly aunty who only usually buys me something small and I did look at the size and shape and thought Ooooh maybe it's a hat box set  and then thought No Way must be biscuits or chocs!!................opened it and it was the Soap and Glory set......I was even more pleased because it was such a shock !! :j :D

It's SO funny because my mum and me have no idea how or why she thought of getting me that and spending so much on me and we feel like it would be cheeky to ask!! So it will probably remain a mystery.....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

But I really appreciate it and am VERY Happy with it :D:D and still really bemused that she bought it for me..............SAD I know!!

That's a wonderful surprise, and I think I'd ask in a subtle way as that is a mystery! Maybe you could reiterate to her how much you love it, you know: "I really appreciate that hat box, how did you know that's exactly what I wanted?" It would sound like an idle comment tossed in when you gave thanks, but she might actually explain.

Sorry, but this post makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Is it aimed at anyone in particular?

Well DD got THREE hatboxes and I got one so there are now 4 of these in our house. Was wondering if any Bootsers could advise me on whether or not Boots would let her return one?

I'm sure they can be returned as long as they are unopened and sealed and I think you would need the receipt.

Yes, you could return it for a refund with the receipt or exchange it without the receipt. Though I suspect you've had some PMs by now from people willing to help you with the dilemma, lol.
