I've worked for many a peaceful Christmas and Boxing Day in retail too, it's a relentless and mind numbing slog. I actually make a point of valuing good customer service and always comment on it. The majority of the staff at my local are great but I stand by what I said which was 'it isn't nice to watch' which it wasn't but I don't think I wrote that I was devastated or even midly irritated, 'cos I wasn't, it was more a case of 'Ok, No 7 down, Med sets still to find'
If you can quote me whinging do so and believe me despite the way my written word may come across what with joking about the staff going out the back way, there are no bad vibes here...I love Christmas and all that goes with it. :xmassign:
What is it with Boots threads....:rotfl:
Anyway I hope Nicole that this Boxing Day you get to choose some stuff before your shift because it's only fair that if some shops allow it all of them should.
Like MrsTom I was only gone for a couple of hours tops, plenty of time to get on with carving/eating/being merry after that.
Back on topic.....S & G... shoe*gal, the coffee pot will almost certainly be on here Thurs 'cos if I'm really lucky I wont even have to go to Boots this week. Although if we order on the early am of the 18th when would we be likely to receive the hatbox, does anyone know?0 -
I can't decide what to do, whether to indeed order online and get it delivered, as it works out cheaper than getting into town (little money saver me
) Or to chance going into town for opening so I can use my points instead and hope they have enough stock. Sods law I will be the only one standing there freezing my bits off and its been over hyped on here :rotfl:

My skin is somewhat sensitive and I've had no problems with the products. Haven't tried the facial care items, though, some of which are in the hatbox. I expect it would be fine.0 -
I am soooo excited about Friday - think i'll have a nervous breakdown before then! hehe!
Does anyone know if the OOTW is limited instore i.e. 1 per person cos I need to get 3 - 1 for myself (present from my ds), 1 for mum (who is working) and 1 for sister (who is having fun in Disneyland Paris

Are they really going to limit it to one per person? I need to get 4 (one for me and am doing the run for friends also to save them the trip)
If it is one per person then I might just do it all online, as I assume online we can buy more than one???
Off to phone the store now in horror at the thought of one per person!!
Will let you know the verdict!Re-embracing the Money Saving Way of Life after a little lapse!0
