Does anyone else think it's really carp of Boots to do this on a Friday... it's not very fair on those people who work is it?x0

Does anyone know if Boots CS is open on Saturdays? If I don't get my dispatch notice soon, I'll want to call tomorrow and make sure it's coming. If it's not, there may still be time to get one in store Saturday. Maybe.0

So glad that so many people have been successful, :jand fingers crossed for those who are still hoping to get one.
May I just offer a teeny weeny bit of advice please? If you have been lucky enough to get one, not only for yourself, but also for each of your 4 sisters, 3 sisters-in-law, Mum, MIL and best friend, oh, and your 6 most favourite cousins, pleeeeeeeeeeeease don't post about it!
A lot of people would have been just hoping for one, and having read about someone elses 2 dozen, and been unsuccessful themselves, arguments can start, and the thread gets closed down.
For all BVs (Boots Virgins!) who previously had never sat up half the night to order online, or worked themselves into a frenzy, wondering if they can get to the stores, you have now been Officially Deflowered! :T
And it's all good practice for the 75% sale!
xx
Although I have just posted about my two (it was a spur of the moment thing honest, i hated the thought of MIL going for one and being sold out so got her one for xmas) I understand the sentiment of what you are saying - without starting another row - i was trying to say the same but nowhere near as articulately as you about the whole buy full price before friday bring it back thing...one person compared it to a ferrari.....i think if ferraris went half price and people were buying them the day before and bringing them back you WOULD agree with me.....i am such a nice person usually the reactions and comments have stuck with me all i can say is i am so sorry and please accept my apologies and don't let this start another row. I genuinely was upset at someone saying i have got mine this way, but will enjoy watching you all here trying to get yours???? i know there is no tone in messages I think I just took it wrong.
Anyway, seasons greetings to all and see you at the 75 % sale!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

What's more unfair is for Boots not to have enough stock. For an Offer of the WEEK to all but sell out in a matter of hours is a joke and Boots should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

Nicole, and everyone else going on about how many they got, please spare a thought for the people who've missed out. Imagine how they feel. Some people have been hoping for this offer for weeks and looking forward to it since it was announced. (And it's NOT just you Nicole. Sandra requested that everyone consider the feelings of others. Not really an unreasonable request, especially at Christmas).
As has already been pointed out, this sort of bad feeling is how rows start and it's how we lost the original Boots thread. It's Christmas, a time for good feeling, not spite, jealousy and arguments.
If you got what you wanted, great, well done. But please don't rub other people's noses in it.
Again, although I have posted of my success, I totally agree with the bad feeling etc. I suppose I was just so relieved to get it and so happy and grateful for all the advice and support I just wanted to share my good news.
If it helps anyone, Boots fargate had some at entrance AND lots more upstairs this morning, restocking as I was there. My friend went at lunch time on the off chance and got one for her sister. They were still restocking at that stage. For anyone in the area esp with Meadowhall I think you are in with a chance.
Sorry for those not in the area but I hope this helps some people who are.Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Hmmmmmmm I think they just didn't think it'd be as popular as it is.... I'm sure they would have got more if they did.x0 -
None left in Piccadilly Circus, but they are expecting a delivery sometime tomorrow afternoon :j0

If they didn't realise then they haven't been paying attention. We know, after all, they monitor sites such as this one, so they should have had an inkling.
Every year it's the same - the website unable to cope with the special offers and the sales, badly informed staff, lack of information and insufficient stock... They never learn though. I think Boots must be one of the top 10 causes of Yuletide and January sales stress! :rotfl:
