  • morning all, I fell asleep before the grinning couple with big teeth/orange face/big hands etc disappeared. but dd woke at 6.30 so jumped on then and managed to get one. says can be delivered on wed 23rd which suits me, and delivered to local pharmacy boots so no town to contend with.

hope it's worth it all now :-)
  • Boots Nuneaton has got at least 50 piled up near the tills and I was the only person buying one  They were all still priced up at £50.00 so maybe most people didn't realise?
My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say ;)
    Ignore......check!
  • Plenty left at Bentley Bridge Boots Wolverhampton

A lot of people have been saying that. In my Boots there were posters in the windows and banners everywhere about them! (Although the price sticker on them did still say £50)
  • I got one for my missus this morning. On the shelves they were still advertised as 3 for 2. I tried to stick out at the till and even though the cashier agreed with me the manager refused to honour it. Sure there must be some consumer right where they have to sell at the advertised price.

yes, my boots is a medium size one and they weren't advertising it much. There was loads but they were marked at £50. I found a sign saying "better than half price" but I had to look for it it certainly wasn't obvious. Perhaps people should look at the smaller stores out of town .

after going around in circles but never getting anywere near to checkout, it's now back to the holding page! :(

can't see there being any(many) at the little store on the Wyvern Centre in Derby, so doubt i'll be having one of these as a treat...

    time for coffee i think!

That store is always really quiet when I'm in there, so I wouldn't have thought there would be any trouble at all in getting one - and they have a better range than a lot of Boots around too :D.

I don't think they have to. Some stores will for goodwill, like Tesco, but the law is something like they offer not guarantee the prices.

Well no queue at my boots but people were grabbing them left right and centre.

The sa serving me looked shocked and said 'i think were going to be busy'
the ones they had out were nearly gone, wonder how many more they had out back??

Oh I did see one person pay with NO hatbox!! Where has this girl been ha ha!!

That would be me as well, as I don't actually want one lol - but I'm really enjoying reading everyone's success stories so far today :T

Halifax store started off with 400 people seem to be buying 2 at a time. there are loads left there.

nearly killed myself (hit a spot of black ice en route!) in my quest to get one of these. when i saw it i had to get another one for myself to recover from the trauma.

halifax havent limited sales to 1 per customer yet although i heard the sales staff say they are planning to soon because in 2 hours they sold out of the f c u k set last week. So if you live near here get yourself down! but watch out for the black ice!

been trying online since 7! hubby took pity on me and is now going down to get me 2 :j . the snows calmed doen so he doesnt mind lol.

    thanks for that.
