nokia 3310 unlocking

I thought I had unlcoked my nokia 3310 today with codes from one of the forum strings. It said 'sim restriction off' however when I tried another sim card it wouldn't work. I unlocked 2 phones, both on different networks and tried every combination of card and phone.

Help! ???

are you sure its a 3310, as the 3330 looks exactly the same but has a few extra features (wap etc).

Check under the battery for the model number (near IMEI number).

If it is a 3330, then it is a dct3 phone and thus needs another code to be entered.

you probably only entered the code ending in +1#, you need to also enter what they call a GID1 code ending in +2# which removes the other lock, they are sometimes 2 gid1 settings...1 for single band phones and 1 for dual band phones like the 3310...
